Bann A v Lurgan A

Bann hosted the home NIBA League fixture of Lurgan on Tuesday night. Recording a 51 Shot victory and obtaining the maximum 7points in the process.

After some early showers during the day some of the Bann bowlers were expecting the worst. The Showers never materialised into anything and the sun shone throughout the majority of the game.

All Rinks started positively and this set up the basis for the win.  Despite the late withdrawal of Mark Sproule due to work commitments Manager Bobby Barr stepped into second with Tom Vint Moving down to third. Dan’s Rink eased through the game recording a 19 shot victory against experienced player Alan Roberts.

Brendan’s Rink started well also, racing in to an 8-0 lead against R.Ruddell. Good Bowls were played by all four on this rink and Brendan finished 14 up 25-11
